What's New at IAFF 271
Free pancake breakfast: Hosted by Local 271 and Missoula Fire Department - Saturday Sept. 26th
Missoula City Fire is pleased to announce a free pancake breakfast on Saturday the 26th from 9-11 AM. Pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee will be served at Fire Station 2 on 247 Mount Ave. Firefighters will be on hand to give the kids a tour of the station and the engines! Donations can be made to our "Coats for Kids" program but not at all required. Read More...
IAFF Local 271 helps raise $26,763 for MDA
On September 19th, 2015 a small army of IAFF Local 271 Missoula Firefighters hit the main arteries of Missoula to collect donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The citizens and visitors of Missoula donated $26,763 on the day! We crushed our goal and smashed our previous, all time record of $21,500. Local 271 firefighters raised more than $15,000 for Leukemia & Lymphoma!
 Missoula city firefighter and IAFF Local 271 member Andy Drobeck won the annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb for the fourth year in a row on Sunday in Seattle. Missoula IAFF Local 271 (Missoula City Fire) placed #1 out of 190 teams and had 6 finishers in the top 100 and 10 in the top 250 out of 1710 competitors. The challenge requires the participants to race up 69 flights of stairs at the Columbia Center while wearing their full set of firefighting gear, including a breathing mask and oxygen tank.
