Station Two
247 Mount Ave.
Missoula, MT 59801
Station # Two reopened in March of 2008. This station is currently staffed by a crew of three and houses a Type 1 fire engine, a wildland fire engine, and water tender. This new building replaced the original station which was constructed in 1954.
This new fire station replaces a sixty-year old station in the heart of Missoula. The building’s design and scale strive to integrate the facility into the surrounding neighborhood while incorporating durable materials that ensure the building’s longevity. The facility’s day room, kitchen, sleeping rooms, offices, and exercise room are designed to meet the specific needs of the staff and the new drive-thru truck bays allow for a fast, safe response to emergencies. The station also has state of the art, solar hot water and photovoltaic power generation systems, which have produced significant energy savings.
